Headteacher’s Annual Report
At Kitchener Primary School, we are proud of the strong sense of community that underpins everything we do. Our school continues to grow as a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Over the past year, our focus has remained on delivering high-quality teaching and learning, strengthening wellbeing and nurturing positive relationships across our school community. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, confident and inspired to learn.
Our School Community
We work closely with pupils, families, staff, governors and external partners to ensure our school reflects the values of respect, equality and belonging. Our governing body plays a key role in supporting and challenging the school, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Strong partnerships between home and school help us to provide consistent support for all learners and enable children to thrive both academically and personally.
Teaching, Learning and Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to reflect the principles of Curriculum for Wales and is rooted in our core values of Care, Equality, Community, Identity and Learning. It supports children to become confident, resilient and motivated learners who are well prepared for the future.
We place a strong emphasis on developing communication skills, independence and creativity, while ensuring learning is meaningful, inclusive and relevant to children’s lives.
Supporting Every Child
We are committed to meeting the needs of all learners. Through high-quality teaching, targeted interventions and close collaboration with families and professionals, we support children’s academic, social and emotional development.
Our approach to Additional Learning Needs ensures that children receive appropriate support, with clear communication and regular review to ensure progress.
Working in Partnership
Strong relationships with parents and carers are central to our work. We value open communication and encourage families to work closely with us to support their child’s learning and wellbeing.
We also work in partnership with a range of external agencies to ensure pupils receive the right support at the right time.
Looking Ahead
As we continue to develop and improve, our focus remains on providing a high-quality, inclusive education that supports every child to thrive. We are proud of our school community and remain committed to continuous improvement for the benefit of all learners.
