Home School Agreement

At Kitchener Primary School, we believe that by working together and communicating openly, we can make our school and wider community a positive, safe and welcoming place for everyone.

Our Home–School Agreement outlines the shared commitment between the school, parents/carers and pupils to support learning, wellbeing and positive relationships.

As a School, we will:

  • Provide a safe, caring and inclusive environment where all children feel valued, respected and listened to.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Support every child to achieve their full potential and develop confidence and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour and respectful relationships throughout the school community.
  • Communicate clearly with families about learning, progress and school events.
  • Provide opportunities for children to develop a strong sense of moral responsibility, respect and kindness.

As Parents and Carers, we will:

  • Support our child’s learning and encourage a positive attitude towards school.
  • Communicate with the school and attend meetings when needed.
  • Ensure our child attends school regularly, on time and ready to learn.
  • Encourage respect for others, regardless of background, belief or ability.
  • Support school policies and promote positive behaviour at home.
  • Help our child to understand the importance of kindness, honesty and responsibility.

As Pupils, we will:

  • Come to school ready to learn and take pride in our work.
  • Follow the school’s behaviour expectations and treat others with respect.
  • Be kind, helpful and considerate towards others.
  • Take responsibility for our actions and choices.
  • Look after our school environment and the people within it.

By working together, we create a positive and supportive school community where everyone feels valued and able to thrive.

We all have a voice, and we are all valued.
