Equality
At Kitchener Primary, we believe everyone should be treated fairly, with dignity and respect. We encourage all members of our school community to share their views, listen to others and recognise the value of different perspectives.
Understanding equality is an important part of our curriculum. Through carefully planned learning experiences, children explore themes of fairness, diversity and inclusion, helping them develop empathy, critical thinking and social responsibility.
We regularly reflect on our practices to ensure they align with our values. Our Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) Team works alongside pupil voice groups to review school policies, experiences and decision-making. This helps ensure that equity remains central to our work and that every child feels represented and supported.
Inclusion at Kitchener Primary is not an add-on — it underpins everything we do. By embedding equality into daily school life, we create an environment where all children feel safe, valued and able to succeed.
